Day three isn't as long as the other convention days. As a result, it's when we checked out of the hotel. A chunk of the morning was spent tending to that and packing up our things for the trip back home. Having bought stuff, carrying our junk to the car was a bit more of a hassle than carrying it up to the room to begin with. We also decided to simply pack the costumes up rather than wear them around on the final day.
Otakon: Day Three
The dealers' room was an absolute circus. We opted instead to go to the artist alley. I had been in there previously for a bit but left since I was afraid that spending too much time there would cause me to spend what little money I had.
On the way there we saw this amazing costume.

We finally actually make it to the artist alley and while looking around I spot some awesome prints that I want to pick up. I resisted the urge to buy a Viewtiful Joe print for myself. But was unable to resist the chance to pick up a delightfully goofy Trigun / My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic print for a buddy who wasn't able to make it out to the con.
Rainbow Dash the Stampede. That's a thing.
I also saw this guy there.

Near the back of the artist alley there was a charity auction of some sort going on. When we wandered by to check it out they were selling a Fullmetal Alchemist hoodie. I was more impressed by the paint job on this car in the back of the room.
We couldn't possibly escape the art room without buying a couple things and talking to vendors, of course. At this point I was a bit tired from the three (four, really) days of walking around Baltimore so we took a break and spent half an hour trying to get drinks from a Starbucks inside the convention center. Being able to sit down and enjoy a cold drink was nice, though. And while resting we saw this adorable Ed & Winry (Fullmetal Alchemist again)
After that it was about time to get back to the car and meet up with the rest of our friends to start heading home. On the way out I saw this awesome Mimic and needed a picture.
With Otakon now behind us, we crossed the street and took a final shot of the Baltimore convention center. Perhaps we will go to see it again next year. Perhaps not. I had a ton of fun, but I was ready to go home and get back to gaming and being lazy at this point.
Having returned home, settled, and dug through some of the acquired loot now -- I wanted to share a couple shots of my favorite grabs.
My girlfriend and I each picked up a pocket watch.

And I grabbed some figurines from One Piece. They stand over my monitor on my computer desk now (alongside my Castle Crashers figures from PAX East). My favorite of which are these two:
And that was more or less my time at Otakon 2012. Good times with good friends and some awesome mementos to remember the trip by. I can't ask for much more than that.
As always, I'll be wrapping this up with an AMV from this year's contest. This time, the winner of Best in Show. Myself and my friends are partly responsible for voting it in as such. The editing is incredible. Enjoy.
